Roku Hires HBO and Hulu Alum Lisa Holme as Head of Content

Lisa Holme, a veteran of Warner Bros. Discovery and Hulu, is joining Roku Media as head of content.

Holme, who starts Monday, Sept. 8, will report to Charlie Collier, president of Roku Media. She will lead Roku’s content team, overseeing the company’s slate of content businesses globally, including original programming, content acquisitions and partnerships, sports, branded content, and “This Old House” content and studios, as well as content innovations in emerging verticals and technologies. Holme will be based in Santa Monica, Calif.

Most recently, Holme was chief growth and strategy officer at Peter Chernin’s North Road Co. She previously was at WBD, serving as group SVP of global content strategy, merchandising and podcasts, where led the podcast team responsible for production, distribution, monetization, marketing, strategy of HBO, HBO Max and Discovery’s podcast business.

At Warner Bros. Discovery, she also introduced a data-informed greenlight and renewal process for HBO and HBO Max originals and licensed content.

Earlier in her career Holme was VP of content acquisition at Hulu, playing a pivotal role leading content licensing, co-productions, partnerships and strategy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale University.
