‘Ted’ Season 2 Sets Peacock Release Date
“Ted” Season 2 officially has a premiere date at Peacock.
The prequel to the comedy film franchise will debut all eight episodes of its second season on March 5, 2026. The show originally debuted on Peacock in January 2024 and quickly became of the streamer’s top original titles.
The returning cast includes Seth MacFarlane, who provides the voice and motion capture for Ted, as well as Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Allana Ubach, and Giorgia Whigham.
Peacock has also released first-look images from the new season, which can be seen below.
The series takes place in the 1990s in Framingham, MA, prior to the events of the first “Ted” film. In the series, John (Burkholder) is trying to survive high school, which is no small feat when your best friend is a talking teddy bear. Per the official logline, “Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”
MacFarlane also serves as writer, director, executive producer, and co-showrunner on “Ted,” with Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh also working as writers, executive producers, and co-showrunners. Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson of Fuzzy Door also executive produce. UCP produces along with Fuzzy Door and MRC.
In addition to the prequel series, Peacock is also prepping an animated sequel series, which will reunite most of the main cast of the films, including Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, and Jessica Barth.
